She is a Colorado native, though she spent her early
years in the Washington D.C. area. After returning to Colorado in 1975, Tess lived in Fort Collins, where she received
her Bachelor's of Science degree in Horticulture with an emphasis on Landscape Design from Colorado State University.
During her college term, she worked in the landscape field gaining hands-on experience.
When she graduated in 1992, Tess established Renewed
Earth Landscaping and Sprinklers; a full service design, installation and repair company. After nearly 10 years
as the owner, designer, and field supervisor of Renewed Earth, she moved to Denver to pursue her Master's of Architecture
degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. The driving force behind obtaining a more advanced education was her
desire to develop a deeper understanding of the spaces buildings create; the interaction of the built and the natural environment.
Tess received her degree from CU Denver in 2002, and
has been working in the Denver area as an architectural intern and lead landscape designer. She is now offering
you her design services, which combine her experiences and unique understanding of indoor and outdoor spaces.
